The Italian Dolomites are one of the most breathtaking and photogenic mountain ranges on the planet. Join Tatra Photography for a week capturing the splendor of this incredible region with a masterclass in landscape photography.
The Italian Dolomites or the Pale Mountains as they are famously known due to their pale colour is listed as a Unesco World Heritage Site and boast twenty peaks soaring above 3000 meters.
During the week of this two center photography workshop in the Dolomites we will capture the incredible variety of the Italian Dolomite landscapes, lush valleys and towering jagged peaks that offer breathtaking opportunities at every turn.
All levels are catered for so whether you are new to photography, an enthusiast or a seasoned pro we provide a fun packed tour with a masterclass in landscape techniques from our professional photographer Martin Rak.
While on location you will receive dedicated one-to-one tuition to help hone your landscape photography skills. Martin Rak will offer guidance on both the technical and creative aspects of landscape photography and always be at hand to provide feedback on your photographs. At each location we visit Martin will make suggestions and offer advice on how to create wow factor images.
Your tutor for this workshop is Martin Rak. Martin is a renowned Czech landscape photographer based in Prague. He got his first camera at the age of 6 and has been interested in photography ever since. He has been commended in many competitions and won awards such as SWPO National Award winner 2016 and 3rd place EISA Maestro 2016.
Martin’s work has been published in various publications, magazines and calendars around the world. He contributes to Black and White Photography Magazine, Practical Photography, Digital SLR Photography, GEO (Germany) and many others. Martin cooperates with the CzechTourism agency and Bohemian Switzerland National Park.
His photographs are typical with foggy scenery, dramatic light and dreamy mood.
Lee Filters have kindly donated a landscape filter set including various grads, ND filters and the BIG 10 Stopper, Lee have also provided a range of holders and rings, all of which will be available to use to participants on the workshops and will be demonstrated by the Tatra photography award winning tutors.
Any customers wanting to purchase their products can then buy from Robert White cameras or direct from Lee filters.
Sport Hotel Sonne is located in the heart of Alpe Di Suise and set in its own furnished garden with a small lake. The Sonne features spacious rooms with sofa in the seating area, free Wi-Fi, and a satellite TV. The private bathrooms come with bathrobes, slippers, and free toiletries. Allergy-free rooms are provided on request.
A generous breakfast is served daily, and the buffet includes eggs, cold cuts, brioches and handmade cakes. There are 2 bars on site and a restaurant is open for à-la-carte lunch and fixed-menu dinner.
Set in a large spruce forest a 2-minute drive from Cortina d’Ampezzo, Boutique Hotel offers Alpine-style rooms with satellite flat-screen TV and a DVD player. It features a large park and panoramic views of the Ampezzo Dolomites from its rooftop terrace.
Rooms are all en suite with carpeted floors and wooden furniture. Most rooms have a balcony, while others have a terrace with mountain views. The bathroom includes a hairdryer and free toiletries. A traditional à-la-carte restaurant and a snack bar are available on site. Local food, both sweet and savoury, is served daily in the buffet breakfast.
