Join Tatra Photography in Vienna a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most historic cities in Europe. Vienna is steeped in history with its legacy shaped by famous residents Mozart, Beethoven and Sigmund Freud. The city lying on the banks of the Danube river is also famous for its Imperial palaces including Schönbrunn, the Habsburgs’ summer residence, The Imperial Palace, St. Stephen’s Cathedral, Belvedere Palace, State Opera House and City Hall.

We will have plenty of time with sunrise, sunset and the blue hour to really explore this diverse city with our cameras. We will seek out interesting nooks and crannies as well as the better-known and more iconic sites around the city and really concentrate on looking upwards as well as at eye level. Our aims will be to give you ample opportunity to really capture the history of this amazing city with its emperial architectural opportunities and help you get to grips with urban photography – and what a location in which to learn!

As well as having extended and flexible time in Vienna, where we will work one-on-one with each guest to hone your Urban photography skills, we will also provide demonstrations of advanced cityscape photography techniques, such as High Dynamic Range Imaging (HDRI) and night photography.

We also encourage participants to bring a selection of their work for a review and critique, our professional tutor will discuss the art of urban photography composition, how to use the camera to create wow-factor images and how to approach photography with the eye of a pro.

Your tutor for this workshop is Robert Canis. Rob is a professional nature photographer living in Kent, England. Born in 1970, from an early age he has always had a fascination with the natural world and from the moment he first picked up a camera at the age of 10, he has been hooked!

Upon leaving school he attended Paddington College, in London, where he gained a BTECH National Diploma in Photography and for several years worked as an assistant photographer and photographic technician. Although no longer a member of the RPS (Royal Photographic Society), at the age of 19 he was awarded an ARPS (Associate) in the nature category where he was (and still is) one of the youngest ever to do so. He would spend every free moment with his camera but feeling he needed to devote more time to his nature photography, at the age of 22 he decided to take the plunge and turn freelance.

The landscape workshops with Tatra Photography are sponsored by Lee Filters and Robert White Camera Suppliers.

Lee Filters have kindly donated a landscape filter set including various grads, ND filters and the BIG 10 Stopper, Lee have also provided a range of holders and rings, all of which will be available to use to participants on the workshops and will be demonstrated by the Tatra photography award winning tutors.

Any customers wanting to purchase their products can then buy from Robert White cameras or direct from Lee filters.
