Join Tatra Photography in the Eastern Carpathians for a wildlife photography adventure. The Eastern Carpathians are located on the corners of the Slovakian & Polish border. The region is one of the wildest in all of Europe and home to one of the largest wild and free-roaming populations of European Bison.
Bison will be the main focus of this tour with unique opportunities to capture images of the bison crossing a river and grazing in the forests and meadows. We will also have the opportunities to photograph Elk, red deer, roe deer, wild boar, beaver and otter. We may also have the opportunity to photograph Bears, Wolves & Lynx.
The area also has a very special birdlife with raptors such as Honey buzzard, Lesser-Spotted buzzard, Golden and Booted eagle. Eagle owl, Pygmy owl & Ural owl. It is also an area where nearly all European woodpecker species can be seen.
Each day we will spend around 4 hours in the early mornings and 5 hours for late afternoon and evening session’s along the riverbank, forests or meadow to capture the best light of the day. During the day we will catch up on some rest and our professional photography tutor will provide tutorial and feed back sessions.
With an inclusive package, which includes flight, transfers and accommodation, we’ve come up with a unique workshop that will ensure you capture once-in-a-lifetime images of some of Europe’s most endangered and enigmatic species.
Over the course of four days in the field, we will enjoy numerous opportunities to capture spectacular images of Europe’s top endangered wildlife in natural forest & riverbank settings. With the help of top wildlife professional Andy Parkinson we’ll ensure you return home with images you’ll be proud of.
