Andy-FarrerAward winning photographer, Andy Farrer recently won the prestigious title of Landscape Photographer of the Year 2015. His captivating compositions have earned him a reputation as one of the UK’s leading outdoor photographers. Andy has previously also been commended in national and international competitions and won a category of International Garden Photographer of the Year in 2013.

His photographs regularly feature on the cover of magazines and books and he often writes photographic articles for camera magazines. He has shot images for a wide range of clients including; HTC, National Trust, Dorset Life, Amateur Photographer and Photo Plus.

Andy has worked as a professional photographer for much of his working life after completing a two year full time photography course in the early 1990’s. It was the early years before college, processing film and printing under a red light, however which gave Andy the photography bug. Now firmly entrenched in the digital age, Andy shoots with Canon DSLR’s and enjoys the benefit’s of RAW processing and a digital workflow.

His passion for the great outdoors and landscape photography are the driving force that allows him to compose such incredible images in such a wide array of settings from the Outer Hebrides to Northern Norway as well as closer to home on The Jurassic Coast. Andy`s attention to details has enabled him to scout some of the most amazing locations to capture the magical and simply stunning illuminations of the aurora borealis as well as the incredible wildlife of Scandinavia.

Andy now takes hundreds of keen amateur as well as professional photographers on tours worldwide giving them the benefit of his expert tuition and in teaching you how to make the most of your camera, lenses, and post-processing along with the benefit of his very considerable experience of shooting in diverse locations.
