Join the Tatra photography team in the breathtaking Bernese Highlands in Switzerland. Broad glacier fields, deep green mountain lakes and impressive waterfalls with thundering glacial streams are natural jewels in the Bernese highlands. The iconic Eiger peak at 3970m overlooks Grindelwald and Lauterbrunnen in the Bernese Oberland of Switzerland.

During this 4-night photography workshop we will cover the mountain lakes and valleys of the Bernese Highlands, We will also capture the quint swiss villages surrounded by the stunning mountain peaks. We also have plenty of time out in the field to capture the rolling hills, jagged peaks and quaint churches located in the valleys during the blue hour.

Tatra photography provide photographic tuition with professional photographer Martin Rak, during the workshop you will be able to learn all the different techniques to photograph the lakes, mountains and waterfalls and come home with some outstanding images. The tuition will cover composition, shutter speeds, apertures & understanding histograms.

All levels are catered for with digital & film so whether you are new to photography, an enthusiast or a seasoned pro looking for a new photography holiday the Bernese Highlands is an oasis of breathtaking mountain scenery.

Over the five days, you can expect a fun packed workshop of great photography, great company and great food in the beautiful surroundings of the Swiss mountains.

Accomodation

Hotel Grindelwald is located in a quiet central location with beautiful unspoilt panoramic views of the famous North Face of the Eiger and the Wetterhorn, set right opposite the First cable cars. Free WiFi is available.
The large and comfortable bedrooms are furnished with light wooden furniture. The superior rooms also have a balcony with stunning views of the Eiger Mountain.

Tutor

Your tutor for this workshop is Martin Rak. Martin is a renowned Czech landscape photographer based in Prague. He got his first camera at the age of 6 and has been interested in photography ever since. He has been commended in many competitions and won awards such as SWPO National Award winner 2016 and 3rd place EISA Maestro 2016.

Martin’s work has been published in various publications, magazines and calendars around the world. He contributes to Black and White Photography Magazine, Practical Photography, Digital SLR Photography, GEO (Germany) and many others. Martin cooperates with the CzechTourism agency and Bohemian Switzerland National Park.

His photographs are typical with foggy scenery, dramatic light and dreamy mood.
