Mark Bauer is rapidly establishing a reputation as one of the UK’s leading landscape photographers. Having first become interested in photography while living abroad in the early 1990’s, he is now renowned for his evocative images of his home county of Dorset, and other locations throughout the south west of England.
He completed a City and Guilds course in photography at the Arts Institute in Bournemouth in 1994, and since then his images have appeared in numerous publications throughout the world. He is a regular contributor to the UK photographic press, in particular Digital SLR Photography magazine. He shoots stock images for various agencies, including the fine-art image library Trevillion Images. He is the author of two books published by Halsgrove - ‘Romantic Dorset’ and ‘Perfect Wiltshire’ and co-author (with Ross Hoddinott) of a photography technique book, ‘The Landscape Photography Workshop’. Mark is also a multi-award winner in the prestigious Landscape Photographer of the Year competition.
Prints are for sale through local galleries (see links) as well as directly from this website. Mark exhibits his work regularly and details are posted on the ‘Exhibitions’ page.
