Location: Faroe Islands / Denmark
Duration: 4 nights / 5 days
Group Size: Max 7
Level of fitness required: Easy

The Faroe Islands archipelago offers you breathtaking and unforgettable scenery. This group of small islands located half way from Norway to Iceland at 62°00’N rise majestically from the sea with the highest sea cliffs in Europe and mountain peaks soaring to nearly 1000 metres.

During this 5 day photography tour of the Faroe Islands we will capture the majestic mountains, mighty cascading waterfalls, sweeping fjords, rugged beaches and tiny fishing settlements which make the Faroe Islands a photographer’s dream.

While on location you will receive dedicated one-to-one tuition to help hone your landscape photography skills.  Robert  will offer guidance on both the technical and creative aspects of landscape photography and always be at hand to provide feedback on your photographs.  At each location we visit Robert will make suggestions and offer advice on how to create wow factor images.

We also encourage participants to bring a selection of their work for a review and critique, where our professional tutor will discuss the art of landscape photography composition, how to use the camera to create wow-factor images and how to approach landscape photography with the eye of a pro.

Your tutor for this workshop is Robert Canis. Rob is a professional nature photographer living in Kent, England. Born in 1970, from an early age he has always had a fascination with the natural world and from the moment he first picked up a camera at the age of 10, he has been hooked!

Upon leaving school he attended Paddington College, in London, where he gained a BTECH National Diploma in Photography and for several years worked as an assistant photographer and photographic technician. Although no longer a member of the RPS (Royal Photographic Society), at the age of 19 he was awarded an ARPS (Associate) in the nature category where he was (and still is) one of the youngest ever to do so. He would spend every free moment with his camera but feeling he needed to devote more time to his nature photography, at the age of 22 he decided to take the plunge and turn freelance.

The landscape workshops with Tatra Photography are sponsored by Lee Filters and Robert White Camera Suppliers.

Lee Filters have kindly donated a landscape filter set including various grads, ND filters and the BIG 10 Stopper, Lee have also provided a range of holders and rings, all of which will be available to use to participants on the workshops and will be demonstrated by the Tatra photography award winning tutors.

Any customers wanting to purchase their products can then buy from Robert White cameras or direct from Lee filters.
