Join Tatra Photography in Porto and Aveiro for a 5 day photography tour to capture the famous multi-coloured towns, fishing villages and coastline in north Portugal. Porto and Aveiro is renowned for quaint fishing villages, medieval towns with narrow cobbled streets, stately bridges and rugged beaches nestled in between the protected nature reserves.
During this 4-night photography workshop we will cover the north west of Portugal starting from Porto and continuing along the coast to Aveiro. We will have plenty of time out in the field at sunrise & sunset for the seascape and fishing village locations and we will concentrate on the blue hour & evenings in Porto and Aveiro old towns.
We will seek out interesting nooks and crannies as well as the better-known and more iconic sites. Our aim will be to give you ample opportunity to really capture the history and beauty of this amazing country.
As well as having extended and flexible time in Portugal where we will work one-on-one with each guest to hone your seascape and urban photography skills, we will also provide demonstrations of advanced landscape and cityscape photography techniques, such as High Dynamic Range Imaging, image stacking and night photography.
We also encourage participants to bring a selection of their work for a review and critique; our professional tutor will discuss the art of urban photography composition, how to use the camera to create wow-factor images and how to approach photography with the eye of a pro.
Your tutor for this workshop is Paulo Silva. Paulo is one of Portugal’s finest and most sought-after photographers. Paulo has a passion for landscape and nature photography, concentrating the majority of his work in Portugal’s Ria de Aveiro. Being a master at using his camera and working with colors and contrasts, he stays away from Photoshop, preferring to use filters when necessary to achieve the ideal balance of light and motion.
For him, the philosophy of “get it right in the camera” certainly applies. In 2015 Paulo created a course in IFP at the Portuguese Institute of Photography. His award-winning photographs have been published in national and international magazines and featured in gallery exhibits.
Lee Filters have kindly donated a landscape filter set including various grads, ND filters and the BIG 10 Stopper, Lee have also provided a range of holders and rings, all of which will be available to use to participants on the workshops and will be demonstrated by the Tatra photography award winning tutors.
Any customers wanting to purchase their products can then buy from Robert White cameras or direct from Lee filters.
