Join Tatra Photography in the Tatra mountains Slovakia for a masterclass in landscape techniques and photography filtration. Filters are an integral part of outdoor landscape photography and can be the difference of producing professional looking images. This landscape workshop with Tatra Photography is supported by Lee Filters who have provided polorisers, soft & hard neutral density graduated filters, proglass neutral density filters, mist, sunset and the Little & Big stopper filters. Lee Filters have also provided a range of holders and rings all of which will be available to use for each participant on the workshops and will be demonstrated by the Tatra photography award winning tutor Justin Minns.
Filters are an integral part of outdoor landscape photography and can be the difference of producing professional looking pictures; polarisers reduce glare and boost colour saturation in a way which can’t be replicated in post processing and graduated filters allow you to balance the light in contrasty scenes, without having to spend hours in front of the computer. Neutral density and extreme neutral density filters can be used to create artistic-looking effects through the use of long exposures.
We have spectacular locations to fully test out the Lee filter system with the very best locations in the Tatra Mountains national park. We have thoroughly researched where the sun rises & sun sets to take you to locations at the right time of day. The only thing left for you is to take as many outstanding photographs as possible and return with wow factor images.
During the 4 days of your photography workshop in the Tatra mountains we will take you to locations of breathtaking beauty for you to photograph and fully test the Lee filter system which includes the Tatra mountain valleys, Unesco castles, emerald lakes & giant mountain waterfalls.
You will also receive a masterclass in photography landscape tuition from our professional photographer which includes, composition, shutter speeds, apertures & understanding histograms. All levels are catered for with digital & film.
The learning experience of a Tatra Photography workshop is not confined to guidance and tuition you will receive in the field, a tutorial is presented to help develop your camera and photography skills. The tutorials cover a variety of topics, for example, to enhance your camera skills they provide in-depth explanations of key camera functions, such as understanding & achieving accurate exposures. To broaden your craft of landscape photography the tutorials will help you to expand your vision of a subject, by teaching you how to appreciate the qualities of light, and guide you in the art of composition.
You will also receive the Lee Filters book on filters, The Landscape Photographer’s Guide to Using Filters. The book demonstrates in a clear, accessible manner how the use the filters provided on the workshop and can help replicate what you learnt on the trip saving valuable time and importantly, keeping post-production to a minimum.
Your tutor for this workshop is Justin Minns. Justin is a professional landscape photographer, best known for his atmospheric images of East Anglia.
