Alan Hewitt is a professional wildlife photographer and widely published author from the county of Northumberland in the United Kingdom. His photographic and written editorial work has featured in many leading national and international photographic and wildlife magazines. Alan is represented internationally by Robert Harding World Imagery and has contributed numerous times to wildlife and photographic issues on BBC radio programmes. Alan’s professional photography career started with extensive work on his local patch, particularly the Farne Islands in Northumberland but his passion for travel and wildlife led him to teaching photography techniques, fieldcraft and natural history in the sprawling Savannah of the Masai Mara in Kenya and the Bushveld of the Greater Kruger in South Africa.
Alan has a relaxing and practical style of tuition, he takes great pleasure in introducing photographers to incredible wildlife and seeing people enjoy the experience and their photographic results.
