The Highlands of Iceland are quite simply the most spectacular landscapes you are ever likely to see or photograph, during this workshop you will be able to capture jagged mountain peaks, volcanic sands, large lava fields, huge craters, deep blue mountain lakes and spectacular mountain glaciers.
The Highlands of Iceland are mostly uninhabitable and only accessible by 4×4 super jeep, you will not find accommodation anywhere unless you are camping or drive for long periods, our new travelling hotel is designed to travel everywhere and will be waiting for us in location once we have finished shooting for the day, the Highlands of Iceland will be on the doorstep to your luxury hotel room. No more multi centre tours and having to check in and check out of your hotel or driving endless hours to return to your base, only one hotel that travels to whichever location we decide to enjoy the best of the weather conditions for that particular day.
We don’t have a set itinerary for this tour, we have a list of all the amazing Iceland Highland locations and plan the best route with the weather reports which guarantees more opportunity to shoot this spectacular landscape. Some of the locations we will visit during this tour are Mount Hekla, Krakatindur, Doma Dalur, Landmanalagur, Ljotipollur, Froststadavatn, Jokuldalir, Fogrufjoll, Eldgja, Haifoss & many more secret locations!
Our daily transport for the tour is a specially modified super jeep capable of withstanding the Icelandic weather and terrain to get us in location at the right time. This vehicle can take us anywhere in the Highlands so we can access locations normally inaccessible to other photography tours.
As well as having extended and flexible time in the field, where we will work one-on-one with each guest to hone your landscape photography skills, we will also provide demonstrations of advanced landscape photography techniques, such as High Dynamic Range Imaging (HDRI) and night photography. We also encourage participants to bring a selection of their work for a review and critique, where our professional tutor will discuss the art of landscape photography composition, how to use the camera to create wow-factor images and how to approach landscape photography with the eye of a pro.
